The Firm
Jim Jenkins practices in both federal or United States District Courts and Florida State Courts. He represents people. Some of Jim's clients are accused of committing serious offenses and some are accused of less serious matters. He treats clients with respect and does not judge anyone for mistakes they may have made. Above all, if you become Jim''s client, you will see he strives to do everything possible to help you with your case. This may mean preparing the case from the beginning for jury trial. If a jury trial is required Jim will spend hours preparing you for the courtroom. Court is a frightening place for many people and assistance can be given to lessen some of the fear.
Effective representation may also mean placing the client's "best foot forward" in attempting to educate the prosecutor that the client is a good person and/or that the client simply made a mistake in judgment. No two cases are the same just like no two personalities are the same. Many factors, such as who the judge or prosecutor are who will be involved in your case, will have a bearing on the approach Jim may suggest to take.
Jim has represented clients in lengthy multi-defendant trials as well shorter one day trials. His last protracted trial was a 2005 federal trial that lasted two full months. There is nothing more important to effecting a positive outcome in a client's case than solid preparation. Generally, when Jim is preparing a client's case for trial, 100% of his attention is devoted to the cause. He often declines new representation because of his unwillingness to spread himself too thin. For every hour in the courtroom untold hours must be spent out of the court room preparing.
Jim also strives to communicate openly and effectively, and as often as necessary, with his clients. As it is "their case" the Client must be kept informed of what is going on with their case so the Client will know what he or she needs to know when making decisions on how to proceed, with Jim's input and suggestions course.
Jim truly prides himself on providing excellent, compassionate representation of his clients. If you retain his firm to represent you, you will see how much he cares about you and your case. He has a very successful track record in court that inures to the benefit of his clients. He will truly place 100% of his effort behind helping you in every way he can. You are a human being with rights - not a number called a defendant.
