You do not have to miss work in order to meet with me

Our web site's purpose is to provide you with information about The Jenkins Law Firm so you can make a more informed and educated decision about who to hire as your or your loved one’s legal counsel. The Pensacola criminal defense attorney you choose to represent you is a critically important factor and you should select one only after careful deliberation. The Client should be comfortable with the attorney and get a sense that that the attorney is going to do everything possible to represent the Client in the most effective manner possible. We hope that the information contained throughout this web site is the first step toward lessening some of the anxiety or fear you may have as you go through the process of selecting an attorney during what is for many people one of the most stressful or difficult periods in their lives.

Please keep in mind that there is no substitute for a face to face meeting when you are considering a Pensacola criminal defense attorney to represent you. You will not only learn whether an attorney has the necessary expertise but also whether you could form a comfortable working relationship with him or her. The road to obtaining the best possible outcome in your case may be a long one and it will take a considerable amount of teamwork to get there.

Also when the government or insurance companies are able to draw upon and expend their vast resources to litigate a case, every citizen should have a strong advocate representing them in our criminal and civil justice system. We may be that firm.

The Jenkins Law Firm’s goal has always been to provide its clients with extraordinary personalized attention and provide the best service possible. In order to obtain the best outcome in your case we want to get to know you as a person not only as a client. We truly appreciate and understand the stress and perhaps terror caused by an arrest, criminal investigation or a pending arrest. We also recognize how it might feel to be injured with bills from health care providers mounting that must be paid. Mr. Jenkins is a Pensacola criminal defense attorney who has received thousands of hours of professional communications training after law school to better understand and see things from other people’s perspective, whether it be clients, witnesses, prosecutors, insurance adjusters or attorneys, judges and jurors. There is a huge advantage to seeing things through the eyes of others when negotiating a favorable outcome in a case, preparing a case for trial, in discovering and developing themes and strategies in cases and in relating and communicating with others who are deciding a client’s fate.

In the Criminal Law context we handle federal and state court cases in Florida and elsewhere. In the Federal District Court, Pensacola and Panama City divisions, we have tried to jury verdict cases involving various types of alleged conduct including conspiracy, money laundering, drug trafficking, mortgage fraud, mail and wire fraud, bank fraud, perjury, internet crimes, bank robbery and securities or investment fraud.

We have also assisted our clients by extensive preparation and presentation of mitigation evidence resulting in no charges being brought or in significantly reducing sentences involving charges involving internet sex offenses, bank fraud, drug distribution, military defense contracting fraud, thefts involving the government, insanity pleas, federal and/or national park violations and military base offenses including DUI.

In State courts of Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton counties we’ve been involved in well over a thousand cases and tried to jury verdict cases ranging from first degree capital murder where the death penalty is being sought, sexual battery, drug trafficking, violations of probation, domestic violence and racketeering to misdemeanor criminal charges including driving while under the influence and driving while license suspended.

In the Personal Injury and Wrongful Death context we’ve handled cases involving catastrophic injury resulting in death as well as cases involving minor injuries involving only soft tissue injuries. No Claim is too major or too minor for our firm. Representative cases and trials to verdict have involved car accidents, motorcycle accidents, truck accidents, wrongful death, slip and fall injuries, resort injuries and injuries involving high speed pursuit by law enforcement.

Jim Jenkins is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum where membership is limited to attorneys who have won million dollar verdicts and settlements in personal injury cases. Less than 1% of U.S. lawyers are members. All personal injury and wrongful death claims are handled on a contingency only basis which means there are no costs or expenses to the client unless there is a settlement or verdict in their case.

Jim also has achieved the highest possible peer review rating a lawyer can attain in both legal ability and ethical practice, an "AV" Preeminent rating. The AV Preeminent Rating is the pinnacle of professional excellence earned through a strenuous Peer Review Rating process collected from the opinions of other lawyers and judges that is managed and monitored by the world's most trusted legal resource, Martindale-Hubbell. Jim also has a perfect AVVO score, “10,” which is derived from Client and peer reviews.

We have represented people from all walks of life including military personnel, including pilots, flight students, officers and enlisted men and women serving our country from all four branches of our military.

People making a decision about which lawyer to choose in a case should consider The Florida Bar's required disclaimer applicable to lawyer advertising: "The hiring of a lawyer is an important decision that should not be solely based upon advertisements. Before you decide, ask us to send you free written information about our qualifications and experience."

Please contact The Jenkins Law Firm. We would be happy to discuss with you our qualifications and experience and be honored to assist and serve you, your friends or family in any way we can. We’d be happy to provide you with a free case evaluation.
